Repeaters
How are a classical and a quantum repeater different? Can you imagine if there's a need for special requirements or protocols for the proper functioning of the network?
A classical repeater is based on amplifying or copying the information. This is not allowed when treating quantum information. Thus, quantum repeaters are not based on amplification. One of the main requirements of a quantum repeater is to be able to send quantum information in such a way that is protected against losses and errors.
